What is Sub-account?

Sub-accounts let you create multiple accounts under the Manager Account. Each sub-account has a separate subscription plan from the Manager Account's.

Who is Sub-account for?

This feature is suitable for you if you have to manage many streaming projects for multiple clients or partners on Castr.

As each sub-account can subscribe to a separate Castr plan depending on their streaming needs, this feature gives you an overview of the projects and manage the costs from one Manager Account.

Getting Started with Sub-accounts

Activating Sub-accounts

To activate sub-accounts for your account, please get in touch with our sales team via Intercom (blue icon located at the bottom right).

Creating a new sub-account

Once the Sub-accounts feature has been activated, you can start creating the first sub-account. Go to your Account Settings > Sub-accounts.

Enter the name, the email, and a new password for your first sub-account, then click Create Sub-account.

Note: You cannot use an email of an existing Castr account to create a new sub-account.

Requesting a subscription plan

Once the sub-account has been created, you can make a Subscription plan request for the new sub-account. Our Sales team will process your request in less than 24 hours.

Once you've successfully signed up for a streaming plan, the sub-account is ready for your clients to start streaming. Here's what it'll look like:

You can repeat the same steps and create more sub-accounts. There is no limit on the number of sub-accounts you can create. However, note that each sub-account is charged separately depending on its usage.

Managing Sub-accounts from your Manager Account

In the Livestream dashboard, you can view all the sub-account streams and the platforms they are streaming to with a simple switch between the Your Streams and Sub-account Streams tabs.

If you need to update the subscription plan for an existing sub-account, you can do it in the Sub-account settings. Once you complete the Request Change, our Sales team will process the update within 24 hours.

Team Permissions for Sub-accounts

If your subscription includes the team feature, the Admin and Moderator roles in your team can create new sub-accounts. However, Moderators will need to contact the Team Owner or Admin to request a plan for the newly added sub-accounts.

In the Permission Settings, Moderators can also view the streams of sub-accounts.

Lastly, the Sub-accounts will help streamline your process and help to get the most out of your clients. If you need further help, please contact our 24/7 support.

Happy streaming!
